Synopsis

In a strange city, a muse inhabits a non-place. She is observed by someone. She or just her memory is manipulated by someone while the non-ritual becomes ritualized.

Chaux and Exercice de Regarde are a film in two versions. Chaux is an edited version live (audiovisual performance) of Exercice of Regarde. And they are one of the result of an artistic residence performed in Saline Royale, historical patrimony of UNESCO located in Arc-et-Senans, France. Carolina Bonfim, Edson Secco and Thais de Almeida Prado were the artists representing the CORROSIVO Collective to create a dialogue with that space using the salt, our theme-element found to be used for poetic creations and research. Immersed in this context, we began audiovisual experiments as well as photographic, textual, musical and performative that recreates this imaginary city. A universe permeated with mystery, encounters with nature, unheard, shadowy and delicate landscapes appeared. A particular ritual was created on and with that space.
